Join us on August 8th in Raleigh as we pray for the safety of all North Carolinians and invite law enforcement officials into prayerful reflection on their even greater responsibility for public safety. On June 24, 2026, the North Carolina General Assembly voted to override Governor Josh Stein's veto on SB-153, a law that requires state law enforcement agencies to collaborate with ICE. This could create a new crisis of public safety crisis for our state, depending on how those agencies respond to the law's passage. 

After the prayer vigil, we we also offer resources on scheduling small group meetings with law enforcement officers in our communities, on giving trainings to keep immigrant drivers safe and on engaging people in our communities in the important electoral races happening this fall.

Parking 

There are no fees at the three state-owned lots on Salisbury Street (Decks 64, 75, 76), and paid hourly parking is available on many surrounding streets via the ParkMobile or Passport Parking apps. 

Accessibility 

Halifax Mall is a flat, open lawn with paved walkways around its edges. Accessible parking is available in the nearby state visitor lots, including Deck 75 at 333 N Salisbury St, which is the closest covered lot. The lawn itself is grass and may be uneven, and we will have chairs available near the paved walkway. We'll provide portable toilets, including ADA-accessible units.
